Meet Our New Fixed Operations Manager: Trevor Matheson
November 14 2024,
Say hello to Trevor Matheson, Centennial Mazda’s new Fixed Operations Manager!
Bringing extensive experience and a passion for maintaining client satisfaction, Trevor is all about building strong, lasting connections with our customers. We asked Trevor a few questions to help you get to know the man behind the ‘manager’ title.
What piece of advice did you receive early in your career that still influences you today?
Sales may sell the car, but the service experience is what brings people back.
When you’re not at work, what’s something that really excites or inspires you?
Watching my kids navigate the challenges of life. Each of them have different personalities and helping them develop is very rewarding.
What’s one thing about the automotive industry that you think would surprise people?
It is very process driven, especially with diagnostics. A miscalculated reading can easily lead to replacing or repairing the wrong components.
If your friends or family described you in three words, what would they be?
Kind, goofy, and helpful.
What’s your favourite way to unwind or recharge after a busy day?
Heading off road on my motorcycle, or heading to the campground with my family.
What’s something about working in Fixed Operations that keeps you motivated each day?
I like to problem solve, and every day presents a new set of challenges. It could be a problem diagnosis, upset clients or a deficiency in a process that needs to be addressed.
If you had to describe your management style as a car model or brand, what would it be and why?
1998 Mazda B4000. Maybe a little rough around the edges, but dependable and will get the job done.
