April 4, 2025, marks 20 years since Brodie first joined Mazda! From starting in the wash bay to becoming an Automotive Technician, he has witnessed the evolution of Mazda vehicles firsthand. We asked him a few questions to reflect on his journey, favorite memories, and what has kept him here for two decades.
Q&A with Brodie
Q: What year did you start working at Mazda?
A: April 4, 2005.
(Fun fact: That day actually fell on a Monday!)
Q: What was your first position?
A: I started in the wash bay, washing cars.
Q: Where did you move from there?
A: I moved into an Automotive Apprentice role and eventually became an Automotive Technician.
Q: Do you remember which Mazdas you were working on back then?
A: Definitely! I worked on the Mazda 626, Mazda MPV, Mazda 323, Protege, Mazda Tribute, and of course, the MX-5s.

Q: What do you like most about working here?
A: The employees, for sure! Working alongside great people makes all the difference.
Brodie has ridden this journey alongside many dedicated coworkers who have also been part of the Mazda team for 15+ years, creating a strong and experienced service department.
