Built off the platform and sharing powertrains with the massively popular CX-90, the all-new, first-ever 2025 Mazda CX-70 is a five-seat hybrid and plug-in hybrid. The CX-70 offers hi-lux cabins, acres of cargo capacity, plenty of towing capacity, and outstanding efficiency.
As a two-row sanctuary, the all-wheel-drive CX-70 will slot in between the CX-50 and CX-90 in Mazda's SUV lineup. The CX-70 starts out with a hybrid 3.3-liter inline-six turbocharged engine – Mazda calls it e-SkyActiv-G – that makes between 280 and 340 horsepower. Optional is an e-SkyActiv-G PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) that cranks out 323 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque in the CX-90, where it's rated for 42 kilometres of electric range.
Yet like every new Mazda, a major part of the appeal is simply the way the CX-70 looks. We could say a lot about the Garnet Red Nappa leather, the machine cut 21-inch alloys, or the distinct rearward bias of the chassis. But why not just, well, look at it?
