The 2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature Diesel Has Arrived
August 22 2019, Centennial Mazda
The first diesel-powered 2019 Mazda CX-5 has arrived at Centennial Mazda, not surprisingly in Mazda's iconic Soul Red Metallic paint.
The CX-5's diesel powerplant comes only in the top-spec Signature trim level, where luxury and technology are seemingly unlimited.
Compared with the high-end CX-5 GT, the CX-5 Signature includes Abachi wood, 7-inch LCD gauge cluster, satin chrome-plated cabin trim, Nappa leather, LED interior lighting, and frameless rearview mirror.
Plus there's all of the CX-5 GT's other features: power liftgate, heated and cooled front seats, a 10-way power driver's seat with memory settings, a heated steering wheel, blind spot monitoring, adaptive front lighting, radar cruise, and a lot more.
But then the CX-5 distinguishes itself by, in essence, offering the outrageous fuel economy of the usual CX-5's 2.5-liter engine with the surplus of torque in the CX-5's 2.5-liter turbo. There's 290 lb-ft of torque at a low 2,000 rpm in the CX-5 diesel while fuel economy on the highway (7.9 L/100km) and city (8.9 L/100km) are very impressive.
The CX-5's Skyactiv-D 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel also receives a 2-year/32,000-km complimentary maintenance package and a $300 accessory credit. Pricing for the CX-5 Signature Skyactiv-D starts at $45,950.
